Q: What are your skating goals, both short-term and long-term?
My main goal is to pursue ice dance. In the short term I would like to focus on learning as well as stabilizing all ice dance elements and training with a dedicated partner. I previously skated in pair skating but I decided to move to ice dance.
My short-term goal is to develop strong technique, build good partnership, begin competing in ice dance competitions across the country, and just have fun doing ice dance :)
In the long term, my goal is to compete internationally at grand prix, World Championships and Olympic games.
Q: What qualities do you possess that would make you a good partner?
I am a very hardworking, energetic person and always give my best effort to the things I truly care about. I approach training seriously and always working on improving both my skating and artistic skills. I am also actually very patient and prefer to solve any challenges and conflicts calmly, which I believe is very important in a partnership. In addition, I am an empathetic person, and I really value good communication and mutual respect when working with a partner.
Both in figure skating and in school I am very ambitious and motivated to achieve my goals.
Extra comments:
I previously competed in pair skating, so I already have experience working and skating with a partner. Because of this, I understand how important is and already have a skills in teamwork and trust on the ice, which I am sure will make the transition to ice dance smoother. As i am willing to relocate, I would appreciate some support with accommodation arrangements. I am currently studying in high school and am able to manage both my studies and skating. Studying online is possible if it will be needed. The language barrier is not a challenge for me, as I study in English and speak it fluently. I also speak Polish and Russian.
